Bio

Borja is a Senior Prototyping Engineer at Amazon Web Services, working on an EMEA-wide team focused on building hands-on prototypes for complex customer challenges. Prior to this role, he spent five years as a Senior Specialist Solutions Architect for Compute, supporting customers across the Europe Central region and advising on large-scale architectures involving compute, containerization, and Serverless technologies.

Alongside his work at AWS, Borja is an active academic lecturer, teaching multiple subjects in a master’s program in computer science, with a focus on operating systems, systems programming, and distributed systems. His combined industry and teaching experience allows him to bridge theoretical foundations with real-world cloud engineering practices.
